Separation

This concept has always been in mah brain but I never really did anything about it until now.

The fact that both Akira's and Logann's mentors are enemies plays a big role in their relationship.

In the beginning of their relationship,they are more loyal to their mentors,focusing solely on their assigned task and willing to hurt each other in the process to achieve their goal.As their relationship progresses,they couple finds themselves cutting corners and using unapproved methods in attempts to carry out their tasks while avoiding each other in the process,as to not hurt each other.

Eventually,Akira begins to fail missions and Logann starts to let her get away.Both Joker and Batman discover the young couples relationship and tries to split them up,forbidding them from seeing their significant other.This doesn't last long and even though their mentors don't like it,Batman and Joker put up with it.
